TOUR OF TOWN: LIJIANG

Our town, Lijiang, is located in the foothills of the Himilayan Mountains near the border of Tibet in Northwest Yunnan Province (in the southwestern region of China). From our school, you can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain which is snow-capped all year long.

In Chinese, 'Li' means 'beautiful' and 'jiang' means 'river.' There are actually many small rivers running through Lijiang, but they are just one thing that make it an especially beautiful place. Let's take a walk to see some of the others...
